What's involved
A lush lawn can be the hallmark of a great garden. During my time at RHS Garden Wisley I helped to keep their spotless striped lawn in good nick and I’ll be happy to do the same for yours.

How we work
Spring
We’re all waiting to hear the first whirr of the lawnmower in spring and get that first sniff of freshly-mown grass. This season I’m treating lawns to a high-nitrogen feed for lush new growth.
Summer
Cutting often and at a high blade-height is a good idea in summer to prevent grass from scorching and to keep your lawn lush and green. If irrigating your lawn, I like to prick the surface first to direct the water to the roots.
Autumn
I like to sow grass seed in autumn because I know the birds’ll stay away from the seeds, feeding on fruit instead. I focus on keeping leaves off your lawn too so your grass remains healthy and disease-free.
Winter
During a mild winter I’ll mow the lawn should it need it. It's also a good time for me to replace turf when the weather's on our side. On grottier days we can discuss a yearly lawn- maintenance plan over a nice warm drink indoors.
