Making more flowers
Let me take care of getting the right plants for you in your garden. Horticulture is rich in ways to get more flowers blooming and I know these ways well for your peace of mind.
What's involved
I can make more flowers bloom in your garden by sowing seeds in autumn and in spring and even throughout the summer. We can unlock the secret of getting more plants in your garden by division and by cuttings at different times of the year.
With my horticultural training at RHS Garden Wisley and ten years' gardening experience I'll make your garden an oasis of desirable plants.
How I work
Spring
Spring is an exciting time to sow seeds of annuals, biennials and perennials for your garden. The seeds of some shrubs and trees are viable too and we can try this to increase your plant stocks.
Summer
Summer gives us gardeners the perfect conditions to increase our flower numbers from taking cuttings. Softwood cuttings, semi-ripe cuttings and root cuttings are just some we can take advantage of.
Autumn
Dividing plants is an excellent and easy way to increase the number of desirable plants in your garden. The cooler weather in autumn sets up the perfect time to divide plants and position them around your garden.
Winter
Even in winter there's plenty of preparation to do before sowing in spring. It's also a good time to take hardwood cuttings of roses and other shrubs, which I'll happily do for you (after a cuppa!)
