What's involved
My horticultural audits provide a clear, expert assessment of your garden’s health, design and long‑term potential. It identifies strengths, issues and opportunities, offering practical recommendations to enhance planting, sustainability and overall aesthetic value. This concise review helps you make informed decisions and plan for a garden that looks the bees' knees all year round.
How I work
Spring
I'm happy to come round at your convenience and make a detailed inventory of all the plants you have currently growing in your garden. I'll take a soil sample to assess its pH (meaning how acid or alkaline it is) and determine what plants will thrive in your garden and what won't.
Summer
The season is underway for me to keep your garden looking top notch at the time of year you want to be out enjoying it in all its colours and beauty. There are trees and shrubs to prune, perennials to stake and maintain and flowers to water and feed for beautiful blooms.
Autumn
This season is ideal for dividing plants and making more flowers for your garden. I use this month to improve lawns giving them a boost after the summer and there are always leaves to collect. I'll advise you about using these to make compost that your plants will prosper in.
Winter
Yes it's cold but I'm out in the fresh air doing winter tasks (with gloves on I might add!) mulching and pruning fruit trees and roses. At this time of year I can see which stems need to be thinned-out to produce a happy and healthy tree or a thriving hybrid-tea rose.
